He's not dead!
Jesus is alive.
He is in heaven seated at the right hand of  his father(Mark 16:19)
intercedeing for his own (Hebrews 7:25).
Before I tell you how to become one of his own,
I must ask you a question.
Are you a sinner?
God said in his word that "all have sinned..."(Romans 3:23)
Jesus said, "I came not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance."(Luke 5:32)
That is to say, he came to save those
who are willing to admit that they are not worthy of heaven,
not those who can find no fault in themselves and try to justify themselves.
If the Holy Spirit of God has revealed to you that you are a sinner,
I have good news for you.
You can become one of Jesus' own.
God loves you just as you are (Romans 5:8).
And he will accept you just as you are.
You may ask, "How can this be?"
It is possible for God to accept you, because your sins
(past, present, and future) have been paid for.
This was made possible when Jesus (who had no sin)
died on the cross and was willingly punished for your sins and mine (2 Corinthians 5:21).
When Jesus cried, "It is finished", before he died on the cross (John 19:30),
He was saying that your sin debt and my sin debt had been paid for by his blood;
and that there was nothing else left that needed to be done
to make it possible for you and me to go to heaven.
You must also realize, my friend, that if there was any other way
for you and me to be accepted by God, He would not have
allowed his son to suffer and die and shed his blood as he did.
You can not earn his acceptance,
or buy his acceptance,
nor can you come by his acceptance any other way.
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life."
No man comes to the father but by me (John 14:6)."
I must also point out to you that Jesus did not stay dead.
Sense he had no sin of his own, death could not hold him.
The Just (Jesus) died for the unjust (us) (1 Peter 3:18).
He could not have come back from the dead
if his father had not approved of him and all that he had done.
He is living proof that God is willing and just to accept you and me into heaven,
take our sin away, and consider us righteous people (1 John 1:9).
You may read the first eleven chapters of the book of Romans in the Bible
and see that what I said is true.
If the Holy Spirit reveals to your heart that what I have said is true.
Ask Jesus to forgive your sins and be your Savior,
and he will make you one of his own that instant (John 1:12).
